Upon the detection of a fire, the detection signal is latched until manually reset (disconnecting the power supply or upon performing a manual BIT). Spectrex Inc. It provides programmable time delays of 0 to 30 seconds with eight (8) fixed settings at: 0, 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 seconds, using SW2 switches 1-3. Spectrex Inc. BIT: The detector performs a BIT.

The alarm outputs are activated as long as the alarm conditions are present and stop approximately five seconds after the fire is no longer detected. The Manual BIT performance initiates the DIPswitches configuration reading of the detector. This function is performed at any switch configuration even if manual BIT is disabled.
